Why spirals anchor gravity circuits

For fine heavy minerals between 0.02 and 2 mm, spiral chutes deliver reliable roughing and scavenging at almost zero operating cost. They have no moving parts: slurry flows down the helical trough and separates by density into concentrate, middling and tailings bands cut by adjustable splitters.

Key parameters to define

Typical configuration ranges

ItemCommon optionsIndicative range
Diameter600 / 900 / 1200 / 1500 mmBy duty and fineness
Capacity per startBy mineral and feed size1–4 t/h
Turns5-turn standard helixPer separation duty
MaterialFRP with wear-resistant liningLong service life

Ranges are indicative. Spiral banks are configured from test work on your ore.
