Where log washers sit in the flowsheet
Log washers go ahead of crushing or screening when feed is clay-bound: alluvial ore, tropical gravel, contaminated demolition aggregate. Breaking the clay first protects crushers from packing and screens from blinding — and recovers product that would have been rejected as dirt.
