Wheel or spiral?
Rule of thumb: free-flowing sand with light silt — wheel washer. Sticky clay, high plasticity, or feed with organic contamination — spiral. The spiral scrubs more aggressively but sacrifices more fine sand to the overflow, which is why we often pair it with a recovery unit.
Typical range we build
| Model class | Spiral diameter | Indicative capacity |
|---|---|---|
| LX 915 | 915 mm | 20–60 t/h |
| LX 1115 | 1115 mm | 40–120 t/h |
| 2LX 1115 (double) | 1115 mm ×2 | 80–240 t/h |
| LX 1500 | 1500 mm | 100–350 t/h |
What a quotation should clarify
| Quotation area | Questions to record |
|---|---|
| Flights | Wear-resistant lining on the spiral; life on your material? |
| Bearing | Lower bearing design — the classic failure point; is it above water level? |
| Overflow | Where do fines go — pond, or hydrocyclone recovery? |
