- Currency, validity, taxes, packing and agreed delivery term.
Quality and delivery
- Drawing and document deliverables.
- Factory inspection or test points and who attends.
- Acceptance criteria and treatment of deviations.
- Production lead-time basis and shipping handover.
- Warranty and after-sales response boundaries.
Red flags in an unclear quotation
Be cautious when a quotation gives a capacity without material assumptions, lists only a headline machine, avoids exclusions, or promises delivery without a production and shipping basis. Ask one supplier to revise the scope before asking ten suppliers for another price.
