1. Compare the process basis

Give every supplier the same material description, feed size, capacity range, target fractions, operating hours and site conditions. Ask for the proposed flow sheet and the duty of each stage. A capacity figure without material assumptions is not enough to compare suppliers.

2. Compare the complete scope

3. Ask for identifiable evidence

Request drawings, nameplates, equipment-specific photographs or videos and a written explanation of the test basis. Generic catalogue photos do not prove that the quoted configuration exists. If a performance figure depends on a sample test, record the sample, conditions and limitations.

4. Check delivery and transaction controls

Compare lead-time assumptions, packing method, shipping marks, export documents, Incoterms, inspection points and warranty response. Confirm the contracting entity and bank details independently. A trading address, country label or fast reply is not proof of manufacturing capability or payment performance.

5. Keep a decision record

Save each revision of the quotation and mark changes to scope, capacity, component brands, delivery and exclusions. This gives the buyer a clear basis for negotiation and helps the production and inspection teams work from the same approved version.

For Saudi Arabia, the UAE or another destination, confirm current import and customs requirements with the buyer’s broker before shipment. Destination-specific checks belong in the project plan, not in an unverified marketing promise.
