The farm economics
Layer farms produce roughly 100–120 g of manure per bird per day. A 100,000-bird farm makes over 10 tonnes daily — wet. Drying stabilizes it against rot and odor, cuts volume by two-thirds, and opens fertilizer markets that raw litter can't reach.
Typical range we build
| Line class | Drum | Wet feed | Dried output |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small farm | Ø1.0×10 m | 1–2 t/h | 0.4–0.7 t/h |
| Mid farm | Ø1.5×12 m | 3–5 t/h | 1–1.8 t/h |
| Farm cluster | Ø2.0×16 m | 6–10 t/h | 2–3.5 t/h |
Two design essentials
- Odor control: exhaust passes a dust collector and, where regulations demand, a deodorizing tower — specify your local requirement at inquiry.
- Heat source: the dried manure itself can fire the furnace; gas or diesel start-up burners handle commissioning.
What a quotation should clarify
| Quotation area | Questions to record |
|---|---|
| Litter type | Cage, floor or mixed with bedding? Moisture and sand content vary widely. |
| End product | Fertilizer granulation downstream — should we quote a pellet line too? |
| Emissions | Local odor and dust limits; deodorizing tower scope? |
